With its PIN-code based security lock and related IT system Cargosyst, the Cargobox provides unrivalled safety and security for the distribution of all kind of products and goods along the entire journey from shipper to consignee. In addition, the Cargobox has been designed and developed to provide improved efficiency in the supply chain, real-time Tracking and Tracing and an attractive Carbon Footprint. The Cargobox will be available in 2011 with leasing and other arrangements.

The PIN-code based security lock and the powerful combination of GPS, GPRS and RFID Technology enable real-time tracking and tracing through the CargoSyst IT Software. This allows authorized users to follow Shipments around the Globe. A number of standard and optional Sensors are linked to Alert/Alarm Messages to provide users with crucial information on basis of an "all data captured, exceptions reporting" principle. The Shipper and/or Consignee is in full control and decides who is allowed to access the Cargobox. All related information and logs are stored on a redundant secured server network.

As a regular airline passenger, the founder of the Cargobox Company was amazed about the old fashioned way of pallet built up and break down in the air cargo industry and started thinking about a smarter solution. The idea of the Cargobox is based on the transformation the Sea Freight market has seen as a result of the standardized container. After a nine-year development period the Cargobox Company is in the final phases of preparing for the commercial introduction of the Cargobox.
