The time consuming assembly and disassembly of air cargo pallets, a labor-intensive job that creates two inefficient bottlenecks in the overall airfreight handling chain, will be a thing of the past after acceptance and worldwide market introduction of the Cargobox. The reason: using a standard cargo net, a single person can rapidly fix 6 units on an air cargo pallet.

In just two minutes or less the Cargobox can be assembled, for which no tools are required. Assembly is just a matter of sliding the individual panels in the appropriate order and direction, both of which are clearly marked on the Cargobox. After sliding the cover on top of the sidewall panels, the remaining gap is filled by sliding in the Lockbar. Hereafter the Cargobox can be locked using a unique PIN Code which can be generated using a handheld PDA, through Cargosyst or via an authorized cell phone.

Disassembly is equally simple: the sidewall panels are placed flat on the bottom panel, and the cover is then slit into it. Hence, the unit can be closed and again, locked with the Lockbar. The panels are safe inside the collapsed container, which is only 1/7th the size of the fully expanded Cargobox. The Cargobox is equipped with heavy duty footings designed for for easy handling with forklift or pallet jack. Cargobox is also fully compatible for use with conveyor belts.
