Cost Savings

Shorter Transit Time

The fact that a number of time-consuming actions are substantially reduced in time, such as customs clearance and pallet built up / break down, result in cost savings as a result of lower inventory costs. It is anticipated that the average duration of transcontinental shipments can be considerably reduced from todays' average of 5 - 6 days to 3 - 5 days only. Hence, lower inventory is needed when leads times are shorter throughout the chain.

No Investment: Lease per Requirement

The Cargobox can be used on basis of, among others, a lease arrangement. The lease price covers all costs related to the usage of the Cargobox in the supply chain. Therefore, no investment is needed.

Virtually no Pilferage and Damages

The possibility of damage, theft and so called "maverick" shipments will be significantly reduced. Any tampering of the Cargobox sends an alarm message to the CargoSyst database and can be followed up by appropriate measures.

Reduced Insurance Premiums

Insurance Premiums can be substantially reduced, due to virtual elimination of the possibility of theft, damage and missing of shipments, together with a shorter overall travel time. Due to the enhanced, cradle-to-grave safety and security, it is assumed that transport insurance premiums will decrease to such an extent that it will more than compensate for the lease costs of a Cargobox.

Supply Chain Standardization

The lack of synchronization is a major cause for unnecessary delays and this is where Integrators successfully have anticipated. In order to keep production unhampered by unforeseen shortfall of components, production companies have to maintain a certain minimum stock in their warehouses. The Cargobox System creates lead-time transparency and enables shippers and their Logistic Services Providers to manage JIT distribution. It will reduce shipments sitting idle, waiting to be built up or broken down from a large shipment

Higher Space Consumption throughout the Chain

The existing available floor space within an airport cargo handling center can be more efficiently used, due to a synchronized transaction of documents, resulting in an accelerated turnaround time and shorter stay. Also, the density of goods per square meter throughout the chain is expected to be higher than the conventional transportation methods.

Reduced Airport Handling Fees

As a result of standardization in the chain, and the subsequent elimination of time-consuming inefficient steps, create possibilities for time- and cost savings. Especially at the airport handling process, there is no need for assembling and disassembling pallets and goods.
